About SAATHII: Solidarity and Action Against the HIV Infection in India

(SAATHII), a registered non-profit organization, was founded with a vision to

stabilize and reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS in India and ensure that people

living with HIV/AIDS receive un-stigmatized, affordable and quality care,

support and treatment. Headquartered in Chennai, it has branch offices at

Kolkata, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Imphal, Nagpur and Karur.

About APFCC: Andhra Pradesh Family Care Continuum (APFCC) Program is one of the

FCC initiatives of SAATHII and has been implemented since 2005. APFCC Program

aims at reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS on children and their families in

selected districts of Andhra Pradesh state through a comprehensive and

sustainable approach and create demonstration sites in providing comprehensive

home based care, support and treatment services through FCC model. To achieve

this goal, program is being implemented through three partners in Nellore and

Rangareddy districts.  

SAATHII seeks to fill vacancy of  Program Officer for the APFCC program at its

Hyderabad office.

Position Summary:

SAATHII invites applications from candidates with the following qualifications,

background and experience:

Post graduation in Social Work or any other allied Social Sciences with a

minimum of three year working experience in community health programs

Knowledge and experience in technical areas of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care,

Support and Treatment services  

Working experience at diverse areas of program cycle, Coordinating with

partners, Building capacities of implementing partners and ability to liaison

with  government line departments

Oral and written communication skills in English and Telugu (mandatory) and

Hindi (optional)

Experience in working on HIV/AIDS programs with a focus on program

sustainability will be an added advantage

Roles:

The incumbent will report to the Program Manager and work in close association

with other team members to deliver the following tasks:

Capacity building of implementing partners through trainings, onsite

mentorships, supportive monitoring visits, facilitating experience sharing and

review meetings, planning and coordination assistance

Involvement in areas of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of

program as per need

Mentoring implementing partners to establish linkages and networking with

various government departments, existing non-government organisations and local

donors to ensure need based services  for eligible clients

Documentation and Reporting  

Coordinate and consolidate baseline data of the eligible clients across various

existing government schemes and monitor status of the clients successfully

received support from relevant departments

• Liaison with different stake holders for need based services at house hold

level/ client level with a focus on services to Woman Development and Child

Welfare

Mobilizing resources for sustainability through local donors, industries,

organisations and writing new grants

 

Support to volunteers and consultants of APFCC program

Other program and SAATHII related activities as required  

This position requires a minimum of 15 days travel to the field every month.
