Can anyone offer me advice on treating a 2 year old? I have not

started him on DMSA or ALA yet. I have done several rounds on

myself. I am planning on giving him DMSA first and then adding ALA

after a period of a few months. I was thinking I could dose every 3

hours by day and 4 hours by night, Fri, Sat and Sunday. Starting

Friday morning 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm and then at night 12am, 4am

and 8am and continue through Sunday bed. That wold be 7 doses a day

for a total of 19 doses in 2 1/2 days. Is a 3rd night necessary?

He is 30 pounds. What is a low dose of DMSA to start with? 5mg?

How do I divide the 25mg capsules into 5 doses and how do I store

it? Can I mix it with pear juice or pear sauce? Can I do this in

advanced for night dose? I am concerned about preparing the dose at

night and also administering. He sleeps on his belly and face in a

crib inside a crib tent. I am worried about waking him and am not

sure how to get him to drink and swallow. He also usually wakes if I

just open his door. Also, my kitchen is downstairs and I cannot

imagine running to the fridge to mix this up in the middle of the

night. I am afraid of falling down the stairs in my sleep -- LOL!

I need tips. If there is a real pro at this with a little kid that

is willing to talk to me? I could really use a mentor. I am finally

at a place in my son's treatment protocol (and that I am no longer

extremely sleep deprived) that I am ready to get him going. Thanks

so much.
