It is unbelievable, that Dr. Radium is no more. Dr. Radium the founder President

of INN (Indian network of NGOs on HIV/AIDS) died today (20-12-2009)will always

be remembered by millions of admires, activists, social workers, researchers,

PLHAs, colleagues and many more. Her demise is a great loss to me personally as

well as to all those who are in HIV/AIDS activities in India. She was among the

few top known activities in the globe who dedicated her life to the cause of

HIV/AIDS.

" Indian Network of NGOs on HIV/AIDS (INN) " – the biggest Civil Society Network

has been serving the country since last 13 years is her biggest contribution to

the nation. She started working on HIV/AIDS much before the national AIDS

Control Programmes were planned and contributed a lot to the NACPs.

Now when the country is giving a multidimensional response to HIV/AIDS

prevention and control programmes with greater Civil Society involvements and

responses can never be able to ignore the contribution of Dr. Radium.

Successfully combating the spread of the virus, protection of the rights of PLHA

and continuous scientific research for the benefit of the common men would be

the great tribute to Dr. Radium Dalwadi Bhattacharya.

May her soul rest in peace.

Lokanath Misra

Acting President, INN

Last week she spoke with me over phone and asked me to send a communication

regarding the 10th  INN Convention and the future activities of INN.

An excellent  trainer, Leader, Administrator, Fund raiser and a dedicated social

Scientist. Her death not only a great lose for NGOs sector, People victimized

due to HIV/AIDS but for our nation.

Hope the NGOs and the Gujarat Government will appreciate her services properly.

May God give rest and peace for the departed noble soul.
