Guest guest
Dear Forum Re: /message/10759 I hope now more debates about Human sexual Health will take place over AIDS INDIA. I have heard from few Gay Activists and also known a couple of Gay Couple who got married in the temple and live together, that it is the unprotected multi-partner sex that puts them at risk for any infection. So debatable issue is to what will be strategies used by CBOs' to ensure that Gay Rights are met as well as positive prevention behaviour is observed. A lot of condoms are distributed but there is very little knowledge about condom use during sexual act in sexual minorities and mainstreamities. Positive prevention data from the sexuallly active majorities or minorities is not known to me. I will be happy to have the same. Also, power dynamics, financial needs and emotional dependence are the determinants of decision making during a lot of sexual activity. How will these be addressed so that people enjoy sexual health, partnership and belonging which are subtle forces and needs that motivates individuals to take to relationships. Guest guest
Dear Forum, Re: /message/10759 It is about time that human sexuality is discussed in India. I left India after my gay uncle comitted suicide after having returned to India from Finland, and I felt India was way behind such ideas, and I had to survive. But I lept from the frying pan to the fire, not knowing that AIDS was spreading in USA, and that North America was far behind Europe in its sexual liberation. Kudos to Ashok Rao Kavi, Donn Colby and Minal Mehta to start talking about such subjects. I also want to add kudos to my close friend, Sandeep Roychowdhury who used Trikone to put human sexuality on the South Asian map, reeling from fear created by two hundred years of British rule. Thank you, Sincerely, Priyadarshi Datta, PhD, (PLWA) e-mail: <pdatta@...>
