Guest guest
Dear Forum, The only answer to this menace is promotion of voluantry blood donation movmeent. In the scenario of few voluantry donors and poor enforcement of ban on commercial donation, this situation is really precarious. Dsipelling myths and misconceptions on blood donation, mass awarnees drives with health focus on know your blood group and Hb level, with free threapeutic options for those found anemic is the only ethical way to make people feel comfortable on this issue. We often see healthy people shying away from donating blood even to near and dear, and inclined to pay or pressurise the blood bank staff to arrange blood. We use the concept of Temple+Bank to communicate to them. When we put our assets in a bank, we can get them back, and the reserves can be used for loaning to all; In case of a temple when we donate, we dont expect to get it back, but altuistic benefits. similary we need to donate in blood banks and the social secuiry genrated out of a good reserve pool could come useful some day.
