Guest guest Posted September 15, 2009 Report Share Posted September 15, 2009 Position- Assistant Co-ordinator Job Description: International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC-India) is a national coalition of people living with HIV, treatment activists, doctors, lawyers, academia, etc.; all of whom have strong expertise in HIV and AIDS treatment and other interventions needed by affected communities in their own settings. Main Responsibilities: To assist the coordinator In Maintaining a current contact list for ITPC-India working committee members To Collate and assimilate treatment related issues from across the country and internationally and disseminate to the working committee members for further action. To update treatment related issues to ITPC-India and international on a regular basis. However, update on ITPC-INDIA should only be reported to ITPC International after approval from the working committee. In Building networking relationship with various stakeholders at National and International level. To ensure timely programmatic and financial reporting as per the requirement of various agencies supporting ITPC-India. To arrange / manage Travel, logistics conferences, meetings and workshops, including space / venue, food, necessary equipments, accommodation, etc under the supervision of the Coordinator and Working Group. Documentation of all programs/events and processes of ITPC-India and maintaining proper records for final reporting. To coordinate communication of the working committee ITPC-India, contributing to listserv discussions, organizing conference calls, distributing information/reports and materials for review. I. He/She will be reporting to Vice-Chair and Coordinator, ITPC-India. Required Skills and qualification Masters in Social Work. Atleast 2-3 years working experience in the field of HIV/AIDS· Excellent documentation skills· Fluency in Hindi and English· Excellent computer skills (i.e. MS office, Powerpoint, Excel, Internet browsing etc)· Excellent communication skills· Knowledge of accounting/ preparing cash flow chart/ budget analysis, etc will be an asset. Tenure: 2 years position The position requires a strong commitment to HIV/AIDS and Treatment activities in India and a strong interest in and understanding of the relevant issues, in addition to a fluency in English and Hindi language.
