About

SAATHII and ICTC Public Private Partnership (PPP) Program

Solidarity

and Action Against the HIV Infection in India (SAATHII), a registered

non-profit organization, was founded with a vision to stabilize and reduce the

spread of HIV/AIDS in India

and ensure that people living with HIV/AIDS receive un-stigmatized,

affordable and quality care, support and treatment. Headquartered

in Chennai, it has branch offices at Kolkata and Hyderabad,

and field offices at Karur in TamilNadu, Bhubaneswar

in Orissa, Imphal in Manipur and Jaipur in Rajasthan.

The PPP is a tripartite

agreement for delivery of Integrated Counseling and Testing Services. SAATHII is the implementation partner for

NACO and APSACS and supports the scaling up of PMTCT services in 68 private

sector hospitals in 14 districts of Andhra Pradesh through conducting

workshops, facility assessments, and mentorship programming. The goal of the PPP is to ensure that

comprehensive PMTCT services are made available to pregnant women seeking ante-natal

care in private sector health care facilities in fourteen districts in Andhra

Pradesh.

Vacancies at

SAATHII-Hyderabad

1. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer – 1vacancy (Job

Code: HYD-MEO-1009)

The Monitoring and Evaluation officer is responsible

for the day to day data management and reporting related to Public Private

Partnership- ICTC program. The M & E officer will work under the guidance of

Senior M & E officer towards gathering of data from the partners, data

clarifications and cleaning, data analyses, preparation of technical reports

and M & E tools, providing feedback to the partners (Private Hospitals),

submitting timely reports to the donor and Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society

(APSACS)

Responsibilities

• Data collection from the private hospitals on monthly

basis (government reporting formats) and quarterly (EGPAF reporting format)

• Data cleaning

• Data clarification from the partners

• Data analyses under the guidance of senior monitoring

and evaluation officer

• Preparation of technical reports under the guidance

of senior monitoring and evaluation officer

• Maintenance of centralized database

• Training of the partners and partner sites on M & E

systems

• Assistance towards implementation of uniform M & E

systems

• Research assistance

Qualification,

Skills and Experience

• Advance degree in Public health, statistics and other

social sciences

• Minimum of two to three years experience in

monitoring and evaluation of HIV/AIDS programs or other similar health programs

• Experience in data analyses an use of statistical

software

• Experience in managing large data

• Ability to work with large network of health care

providers from the government, private and non-governmental sectors.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in

English.

• Willing to travel to six high prevalence states.

• Ability to work in a team with minimum supervision

• Excellent interpersonal skills

2.

Program Coordinators – 2 vacancies

(Job Code: DIS-PC-1009)

The key responsibilities of the position is to help

private hospitals to plan and implement PPTCT program in 3 districts per

project coordinator and provide on-site mentorship to counselors and lab

technicians of these hospitals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Area Managers in selection of the sites

• Conduct sensitization workshops/meetings

• Provide start up assistance sites in establishing

PPTCT program

• Organize trainings for the site level staff

• Provide on-site mentoring to the PPTCT staff

• Undertake district-wise mapping of other HIV/AIDS

service providers, initiate linkages/referral systems and oversee the

functioning of referral system

• Conduct monthly monitoring of the sites

• Develop monthly and quarterly quantitative and

qualitative reports

• Participate in district level review meetings

Qualification

and skills:

• Post graduate in Social work / Social Sciences having

at least 2 -3 years of experience in HIV/AIDS and PPTCT program implementation

• Strong counseling and mentorship skills

• Excellent written and oral communications skills in

English and Telugu.

• Willingness to travel extensively

• Strong interpersonal skillss

• Proficient in the use of computers

• Strong analytical and documentation skills

3. Counseling

Mentor – 1

vacancy (Job Code: HYD-CM-1009):

The key responsibility

of this position is to provide guidance and technical updates to the Project

Coordinators and site staff in providing quality counseling to the ante-natal

women.

Responsibilities:

§

Provide

technical knowledge and skills of counseling to Project Coordinators and staff

from participating hospitals through site visits/Supportive Monitoring Visits.

§

Ensure

follow up of positive women identified by respective hospitals through

networking with District Level Positive Networks and PPTCT NGOs

§

Establish

Peer Support Groups, where feasible

§

Organize

awareness programs/activities

§

Establish

linkages with Community Care Centers, ART Centers,

District Level Positive Networks, PPTCT NGOs and other HIV/AIDS service

providers for provision of continuum of care services to positive women

identified by participating hospitals

§

Ensure

proper maintenance of data at all the participating hospitals

§

Organize

trainings, experience sharing and review meetings for medical officers, project

coordinators and counselors

§

Hotline

consultation on queries from counselors and laboratory technicians.

§

Documentation

and reporting of the supportive monitoring visits

Qualification and

skills:

§

Post graduate in Social

PPTCT program implementation
