Guest guest
Hello, I am worried about the air quality in my basement. I have been looking around at various sites, and it seems every time I get my mind set on one, I will hear it doesn't live up to the promises. Hmm, sounds familiar. I just went on renewalenterprises.com to look at something different, and their HomePure air purifier caught my eye. It is substantially cheaper than what I was planning to purchase. My basement has that moldy kind of smell, even though my house is 7 years old. It often comes up through the sinks in the bathroom and kitchen, or under the basement door. We shouldn't really store stuff down there, because it picks up the smell. Unfortunately, there are no windows down there, or even a bulkhead. Anyone have experience with this product, or any other that can be recommended to alleviate this smell? Thanks,
Guest guest
I live in the midwest, always had a basement. Dehumidifier in the summer is a must unless you have central air that is pulling moisture from the entire house, basement too. Smells coming up from the drains, think you may need to add some water to your pea traps. Any sewer type smell, that would be it. We also had issues in one new house that one of the pipes were not properly jointed with " plumber " type product and we had terrible off from that too. We also have an air exchanger that heats/cools the house. New houses are so tight and exchanging the air is important. JMO.
