G. I do saliva tests monthly for hormones imbalances. they are

always correct.i am amazed, i have had some of the tests repeated at my reg.

Dr. & the same result. he has never checked for candida thru saliva, he

checks the urine & stool samples for that. he tells me what i am going thru

before i can tell him. Mogdrmom

Just put some of the saliva on or in whatever up on the tray, fill in all of the details, calibrate and run the test. I would lay the head harnes and the straps neatly around the saliva or over it, while running it. I find this giving accurate readings. Noel.

Dear QXCI group,

how would I go about running a full QXCI test on a saliva sample?

Hi: Garrett & Elio

I don't think the saliva test is too accurate usually the stool

tests will give better results with natural antifungal sensitivities

if yoou choose that root but crooks questionaire is still a good

guideline.

I have been heard of this stool test through cuzezone candida forum.

Hmm, how do I do this test? Is this a home taking test? Or do I need

to see a physican to do this test?

I have heard the stool test can be unreliable because candida is a normal

resident of the bowel.

A blood antigen test is supposed to provide more useful diagnostic informaion

cass of systemic candidiasis.

Hi Roy,

You seem very knowledgeable. Can you just fill us in on your back

ground. I find the info that you've posted here very good. Just

curious.

The test that most reffer to on Curezone is one done by Great Smokies

diagnostic laboratories. It kind of expensive and in my case did not

detect and candida although I have many of the symptoms. I'm going

with the questionnaire approach and tracking my improvement.

I also have heard about a test called Live Blood Cell Analysis which

can identify your health status including to see if you have

candida. This is kind of test I want to take unfortunately I dont

have any naturopathic physican nearby or even in my home state,

Louisiana.

This test is also called Dark field Microscopy.

Bruce, where can I get myself antigen blood test?

Depends on the lab and the tech ;the ones I use are very good and

yes antigen tests are more specific for systemic candidiasis. But if

the stool test is positive and symtomology is present treat it.A high

percentage of cases are not systemic would it be worth doing the

antigen test? Is the treatment different?

> Bee, you mentioned that the saliva int he glass test is not

reliable... I have had a stool test done by my doctor that was

negative for bacteria so does that mean that I do not have candida

and I just have a irritable tummy?

==>Hi Lelita. This is from my article:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php#s11

With such a wide variety of symptoms that mimic many other diseases,

how do you know that your problem is candida overgrowth?

Unfortunately most laboratory tests cannot confirm the presence of

candida. The reason is because candida is a normal inhabitant in all

our bodies and everyone will have a certain number of yeast

antibodies which are produced by a healthy immune system to keep

yeast under control.

Therefore the most effective method of determining whether you have

candida overgrowth is by taking Dr. Crook's Questionnaire.

However, even if you do not have candida yet you are very ill, if you

follow the main principles of this diet and take the basic

supplements recommended you will improve your health tremendously.

This is a " healing " program, just as much as it is a candida program.

Your body does not get sick from a lack of drugs; it gets sick from a

lack of nutrients plus an overload of toxins, which includes drugs.

saliva test

I received my saliva test kit! YEAH! Hopefully this will be the

beginning of the road to good health.

We are doing the ASI (adrenal Stress index Panel) TAP (cortisol x4),

DHEA, MB2-S ( Salivary Total Secretory IgA), FI-4 (Anti-Gliadin

Antibody), ISN x2 ( insulin x2 ), and P17-OH (17-0H Progesterone).

A question I have is the nurse said I did not have to refrigerate but

the instructions say to refrigerate and mail within 3 days. So I guess

I would do as written but just wanted to know what others have done.

Another question and she went thru this so fast it was difficult to

follow: She said something about doing it on certain days like a

Sunday and maybe she was getting to the fact that the labs would not

be doing tests on weekends so I would not want to do it say on a Friday?

I also had him do a Reverse T3 and Ft3 but I have to say it was very

awkward having to tell the doctor what he needed to do and I am not so

sure he was not put off by it but he did what I asked for. I bet he

cringes when I come into the office. Although he is very laid-back.

He wasn't sure that my insurance would pay for the reverse t3 and then

he read something but didn't tell me what and then said they would pay

for it. At this point, I do not care if they pay for it, I want answers.

Thanks for all your help and I will let you know when I get my

results. I suppose that will be another battle, Yes?

a cold pack? The box it came in isn't all that big. I guess I will

have to repackage it before I send it. Thanks. What do you suggest

to use as a cold pak? I have seen things for coolers but that would

be too big. Where would I find something like that.

Hi Sheila,

Thanks for your reply, yes it is the 24 hour one. Sorry for my " what

experience did other people have with this test " being vague; but you

answered it anyway. It makes sense you saying NOT to do it on a

Sunday.

Would yourself, or others on here recommend not taking T4 before doing

the saliva test? If so for how long beforehand would you stop it?

Hi Alice

I did my adrenal test on a Sunday and so I think did , it is for some people the most concveiniant day as we all work and would find it difficult to do at work, that was why i had to do it on a Sunday, mine all came back low and below range, but I never just sit around on a Sunday and did my usual things, cooked dinner, cleaned up and dog walked etc. Just thought I would let you know that

Hi Alice

First, is this a 24 hour salivary adrenal test? You need a test to see where your DHEA and cortisol are at four specific times during the day. If it is, then yes, it most definitely is worth it, and $90 is much cheaper than the 24 hour salivary adrenal profile done by Lab21 in the UK. This is why I am suspicious about it being a 24 hour test. If it is done at only one time during the day, then I would say no, unless you are happy at paying the $90 for the female sex hormone test. Unfortunately, tests are expensive, and for some things, Dr Peatfield would be able to check himself and depending on what he finds, will be able to recommend treatment based on his findings.

Hi everyone,Today I received a saliva test kit from Diagnos - Techs, Inc (Canary Club org.) It is for Male & Female Sex Hormones, cortisol and DHEA & DHEA (S) pool and I have a few questions about this if anyone can help?Firstly should I bother it costs about $ 90 to have it done? And I can see the costs of treating myself rising.Secondly what experience/s has anyone else had with this?Thirdly I cannot intepret the results; but would Dr P be able to?cheers Alice

Taking your L-thyroxine before an adrenal salivary test is absolutely fine. What you should not do is to take any adrenal support such as Nutri Adrenal Extra for at least a week before, or, if you are already taking hydrocortisone itself, you should stop your HC for about 6 weeks before testing.

Don't take thyroid hormone replacement for at least 24 hours before you have your blood drawn to test your thyroid function.

Hi ,

Thank you for your reply. I have been off work for a couple of weeks,

so unsure when my more stressful day would be really, neverrmind I will

it out. I do normally tend to be quite busy on a Sunday anyway, Hiking

possibly, cleaning, washing etc.

Take care Love Alice

I have a ZRT Salive/Blood test. It is supposed to mailed in and then

my results are sent to this pharmacy who will interpret the results

for 50.00 dollar. The test itself costs 249.00. Is this the way

everyone does it here?
