Dr Diwakar Tejaswi Awarded with HIV Fighter Award

Doctors & Media Interaction Workshop on HIV HCV  – Window period – its

complications, possible solutions and benefits of early detection was organized

yesterday at Hotel Maurya, Patna by Society for Medicare.

Bihar Governor His Excellency Shri Devanand Konwar was the Chief Guest, Dr C. P

Thakur, Memeber of Parliament and Former Union Health Minister and Justice Shiv

Kirti Singh were the Guest of Honour.

On the ocassion, Noted Physician and AIDS Activist, Dr Diwakar Tejaswi was

awarded HIV Fighter Award by the Governor of Bihar, Shri Debanand Konwar.

Other whose work were honoured included, President of Patna Network of People

Living with HIV AIDS, Mr Gyan Ranjan, Smt Lalita, widow living with HIV AIDS,

Pediatrician Dr Kiran Sharan, Surgeon Dr Manoj, Orthopedician Dr

Mukhopadhaya and Dr Devendra Prasad from AIDS Control Society.

Many organizations in Bihar like Indian Medical Association (Bihar Chapter),

Association of Surgeons of India (Bihar Chapter), Public Awareness for Healthful

Approach for Living (PAHALl), Western Patna Doctors Club, Indian Dental

Association and Patna Network of Positive People, Lions Club extended their

support.
