Guest guest
Dear Forum, Indeed I do agree with mary and I do thank her for putting up the ground realities of the functioning of CCCs. At some point of time there were days that CCCs are the only centres where PLHA's got treatment of their OI's with Care and LOVE and I still stand by it that CCCs are the only centres for PLHA's where they dont need to stand in a long queues and push around for their test etc etc.. Nurses and Care workers were stictly instructed to talk to the patients with love and affection and above that they recieve nutrition of good quality and in some cases they even were given clothings etc. Counseling services were far better than anywhere with its minimal load as compared to govt hospitals. For a minor fever or ailment if one go to Goverement Hospitals, one need to spend the whole day starting from 6am from home to get the OPD card and than continue the taxing process of waiting for the doctor then comes the other part to get their blodd tested/X-rays etc.Wheras in CCC the patients need not wait at all.. Maybe there are some erring CCCs and some good ones while some are set up just to make money..maybe some centres are not run properly but whatever it, is the very purpose of CCC cannot be defeated just because CCC abide by thier guidelines. With the efficient leadership of Dr. B.B Rewari and Dr.Suchitra I do hope our National Programme as it always move towards betterment will continue to do so. regards Henry e-mail: <henryasimte@...>
