Guest guest
Dear Forum, /message/11368 I just have a one liner to say about this. I think this is an atrocious doing that too by an NGO. I also work in this field for ages and am ashamed by this request. We in the NGO sector talk so much about reducing " Stigma & Discrimination " Where is it all gone now as far as this NGO is concerned ? ? Guest guest
Dear All, Re: /message/11368 This would be against the fundamental rights of an individual who wish to travel anywhere in the world for foreigner and Indian national as well regardless of their HIV status. Putting an embargo on travelling by HIV positive person wouldn't solve and reduce the transmission of HIV Rather than insisting the govt. to take up an unsympateic policy to control spreading of HIV, it would be appropriate to sentisize the sex worker community to stay away from any risky behaviour during the course of common wealth game in India. Imagine if different countries across the world started taking up this indifferent step than the situation will become aggravate and twist the endless efforts of thouands of AIDS activist to create an enabling environment for many years. And also it would be a shame for our nation who is proud of her status of world largest democracy. Guest guest
Dear Forum, Re: /message/11368 I will not waste anyone's time by repeating that what is being demanded by Mr Bhola and company is absurd and atrocious. Instead I have a demand of my own. That NACO Clarifies if Mr Bhola and company receives any sate funding to carry on their activities, and if yes, then given this wonderful display of their 'GIPA' sensibilities, not to speak of their " Rights based approach " to things, should such funding be continued? Also whether there should not be an independent probe about what has been done with that funding so far (The nature of M & E etc.) to have raised the sensitivity of Mr Bhola and Company to such perfect levels. I know silence is golden, but I would really like to have a response from NACO in this. Best, Aditya Bondyopadhyay ADITYA BONDYOPADHYAY Development Sector Consultant Advocate (Regd. Guest guest
Dear all, Re: /message/11368 Who is supporting this NGO to work with high risk groups in Delhi? This is a shameful example of discrimination and must be condemned by NACO and the actual donor giving this NGO money for HIV AIDS prevention work.
