Guest guest
Dear Forum, This is regarding the LEGAL AID CLINIC which has been openedĀ grand gala by SACS, but not working now, and which is closed in Government General Hospital-Chennai for the past one and a half months. Why is it so, is there unavailability of candidates for the post of Legal aid social worker. I can see many PLHA who come with queries but go in vain without a proper response from the legal Aid because it is closed all the time due to lack of staff. Will SACS take necessary steps to reopen the clinic. There are four Legal Aid clinics in the State of Tamilnadu, but all not functioning. I humbly request SACS to do something for this. Truly, S. Guest guest
Dear Forum, Re: /message/11406 TANSACS has appointed district program managers to manage the activities of TANSACS in each district. these appointees are medical doctors. They do not have administrative / managerial experience to implement programs / activities. Their expertise is in medical side. Some of these medical doctors who are appointed as DPMs are in a mood to withdraw as they slowly realize that it is not their cup of tea. TANSACS has to review this and appoint district managers with a clear cut roles and responsibilities on merit basis. Also presently these DPMs are struggling to understand on where and who to report to in a district (to health authorities or to the district admin authorities). When things are like this, there is no wonder programs like free legal aid are vanishing. Because there is no accountability at any level.
