ASICON 2010: Call for SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you at the 3rd National Conference of AIDS

Society of India (ASICON 2010) to be held at Hyderabad from Oct.29-31, 2010.

The ASICON 2010 will highlight Optimal, Efficient and Comprehensive HIV

Management and will feature plenary, debates, case studies, posters from leading

clinical experts and researchers as also from budding doctors and scientists.

The conference will discuss and present the latest developments in diagnosis,

prevention and management of HIV, Co-infections and opportunistic infections

including recent advances in the vaccine, diagnostics and future drugs.

As a part of its continuous effort to enhance participation from young people,

with the support from Office of AIDS Research, National Institutes of Health

(NIH), USA, the AIDS Society of India announces the launch of Scholarship

Programme for PG students, junior doctors and researchers to enable them to

attend ASICON 2010.

The award will cover full registration fee waiver, travel by train (A/C III

tier) or bus, accommodation and meals for those who otherwise would not have the

opportunity to attend. Based on available funds with ASI, there is a possibility

to provide full or partial support for deserving applicants and those nominated

by their Medical Colleges/ Universities or by ASI Governing Council members.

Priority will be given to applicants with demonstrated interests in HIV care and

research; which will depend on outcome of their abstract(s), interest in the

subject and worthiness to clinical practice/research, region they are

representing and availability of funds with ASICON 2010.

Certificate of participation will be awarded only after three days of
