There are some very well qualified social workers who are working in various NGOs in the field, for eg some of the NGOs have working roster from 9am to 6pm with a comparative less salary which is provided by the MSACS to the staff working in the ICTC and ART centre. To go with another example NRHM employee like a lab technician who is having a fixed salary is near about 6500/- as compared to ART lab Technician who draws 8000/- plus 100 Rs as handling charges. Here their working time if considered is only from 10.30am to 4pm. Just to give an example of the attitude towards work of the staff on strike, there was a story along with the photograph, name and address of a handicapped PLHIV who was suffering, in the Nagpur local marathi daily LOKMAT 6th of Dec, stating that they were concerned about his well being and are very much concerned, should not these kind hearted people join their duties and according to their own words should not add to the sufferings and woes of the PLHIV due the strike. If these people who have got the golden opportunity to serve for to a noble cause of the society deny it by going on strike aren’t there other deserving or even the PLHIVS who are in a better mental state and are aware of the situation and the problems which a PLHIV faces in their daily activity be a given chance to serve which come in as a help to their already weak economic condition. There is a list of PLHIV volunteers who have completed their graduation and have appeared for MSW exams and to add to this they have got more than 4 years of experience in this field on the grass root level. Some of them have received training under various GFATM programme schemes and else where. There are some women who are trained in nursing trade. If given a short training crash course their skills and services can be utilized to better services of the society.
