IAS-GC ELECTION:PLEASE CAST YOUR VOTE FOR ME: (EMDAD SHEADHAR, BANGLADESH

Dear Colleagues,

I am Emdad Sheadhar (Bangladesh), a candidate of IAS Governing Council Election

2010. The list of candidates will be presented to you (the members) for voting

within few days. Votes will be accepted from 20 April to 11 May 2010.

I am a Bengali Writer-Journalist on AIDS, field based AIDS worker also. I have

been writing on HIV/AIDS since 1987. I sincerely speaking: I believe, many

members in our region actually fit for this position (member of GC). They have

significant work in the field of AIDS.

With respect all the members of IAS, I want to mention that I will work for AIDS

professionals, mainly vulnerable communities those are risky for HIV, positives

& patients in our region, under developed countries. I will submit proposals

for extension the IAS activities to the respective authority.

Example:

1. Set up country based IAS net working,

2. Campaign for large involvement of individuals & organizations,

3. Strong coordination for the major fund distribution,

4. Arrange the training & education program for AIDS professionals, etc.

After all, I have a dream to see IAS extend its hands to catch every patient

through out the world.
