Dear Sir, we are from a CBO,  Kolkata Rista based in kolkata but also working in

ballia  (U.P) for the last three years.

Kolkata Rista is working with kojawas and Loundas (MSM/TG). WE would request you

to pay special attention to the HIV vulnerability in

Ballia.

Ballia is a district  where Lounda Nach (men dancing in female attire) is vey

much popular. It is treated as essential for the entertainment during marriages

and occassions like the birth of a baby.

We have been told that many of the Lounda Nachs are raped by the strong man from

the villages. They rarely do use condoms.

 

So I think it is very much essential to start HIV/AIDS awareness to reach

grassroots in Ballia too.

Kolkata Rista will be happy to assist anybody who is interested, to take them

to these villages and to the Lounda Nach community
