received the Best Social Worker AWARD from the District Collector

Mr.G.Prakash I.A.S. on 26.01.10 - Republic Day for his service to the common

public.

He has received the similar Awards from the Tirunelveli District

Collector in 1997, Tuticorin District Collector in 2007 and the Best

Consumer Activist in 2007 from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs , Government of

Tamil Nadu.

He is the Founder and Executive Director- EMPOWER - Professional Civil Society

Organisation, Vice Chairman -Initiatives of

HIV/AIDS Net (IHN),Founder and General Secretary - Confederation of Indian Civil

Society Organisation's (CICSO), National Convener- National Alliance for Health,

Environment and Rights ( NAFHER) .
