SAATHII urgently seeks to fill the following positions for a private-sector

health facility assessment in Tamil Nadu.

(i)

*Code: CHE-PSFA-DM-090914

Data Manager (1 position): *The Data Manager will be a post graduate in public

health/social sciences/biostatistics with a minimum of 3 -5 years experience in

tool development, database creation, data analysis and report writing. He or she

should have expertise in spreadsheets, databases and analysis using statistical

software (e.g. MS Excel, MS Access, SPSS, Epi-info). Preference will be given to

candidates with prior health program experience.

Location: Chennai

Duration: 6 months – 1 year

Key roles include:

- Responsibility for data management, quality assurance and monitoring

- Development of tools along with the research manager

- Field testing and standardization of the tools

- Development of data base for the project

- Training of data entry operators and field investigators on data

collection, collation and validation

- Coordination and monitoring of data entry, data proofing and data

processing

- Data analysis along with the research manager

- Assistance towards report preparation

*Documentation Specialists (2 positions): *The candidates will be a post

graduates in public health / social sciences with minimum of 5 – 8 years

experience in documenting research studies, best practices documentation and

abstract preparation. Computer knowledge and excellent writing skills are

essential.

Location: Chennai

Duration: one month

Key roles include

- Preparation of weekly reports and interim report

- Process documentation

- Preparation of facility wise assessment reports

- Preparation of project report

- Assist in dissemination of project results

- Secondary data compilation and analyses

- Conducting Secondary data research and data compilation

- Field visits for ensuring data quality

- Assistance towards data analysis and interpretation if required

*Data Entry Operator (1 position):* The data entry operator will be a

graduate with diploma in computer applications from a recognized university or

institution. He/she should have experience in data entry and data quality

management.

Location: Chennai

Duration: 10 days

Key roles include:

- Data entry in the MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Access data base

- Data proofing and validation

- Assist data manager in data processing and validation

*Field Investigators (6 positions): *The candidates will be graduates or

post-graduate in social sciences or social with experience in data

collection.

Location: Chennai

Duration: 15 days

Key roles include

- Establishing working relationship with the facility staff

- Assistance towards field testing of the tools

- Data collection from the facilities and clients

- Assistance towards data entry and interpretation

- Assistance towards preparation of facility reports
