New Project Director of Tamil Nadu SACS

Shri. Shambhu Kallolikar, I.A.S., a 1991 batch Indian Administrative Services

(IAS) Officer, has taken over charge as Project Director and Member-Secretary of

Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society on 17th February 2010.

A Post Graduate in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New

Delh. Shri.Kallolikar has held various significant positions in the Government

of Tamil Nadu and Government of India.

He worked as Deputy Secretary in Public Department; Joint Commissioner,

Commercial Taxes Enforcement in Coimbatore division and District Collector in

Pudukkottai and Thiruvarur; He served in Central Government on deputation in the

Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas as Regional Director, Anti Adulteration &

Vigilance Cell at Chennai, followed by the post of Private Secretary to the

Hon'ble Minister of State Law and Justice, Government of India;

The last post held by him was the Commissioner of Fisheries Department,

Government of Tamil Nadu;

He has written a book on " Rainwater Harvesting, Techniques and Approaches " and

more than 20 papers on " Water " which have been presented in National and

International Seminars.
