Title : HIV Officer

Location : Bhopal, Jaipur, Kolkata & Ranchi

Duration : 364 days

Purpose of the post:

The HIV Officer contributes to the overall effort of Country Programme

implementation at state level and works closely with State AIDS Control Society

, State Health Society, Dept of Women and Development and contribute to

influencing policy, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of

flagship programmes such as ICDS and NRHM in the state.

The jobholder works both at the State and District level under the daily

supervision of Programme Manager and takes sector specific guidance from the HIV

section.

Minimum Requirements : (Qualification, Experience & Competencies):

• University Degree with specialization in HIV and AIDS and /or Public Health

and experience of working with HIV & AIDS-Health programmes.

• At least two years experience in programme development, monitoring and

implementation of HIV -Health Programmes including experience in field-based

implementation.

• Fluency in English. Knowledge of local language desirable.

• Current knowledge of development issues, policies, as well as social

programming policies and procedures in international development cooperation in

the area of health.

• Managerial, analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills

• Good training ability

• Knowledge and use of information technology, word processing, graphics

presentations etc. as well as Management Information Systems and databases.

Knowledge and training on use of work planning tools an asset.
