Information and Communication Technology is seen as a vital factor in enhancing

development and healthcare efforts. Internet, E-Networking, Social Media, Mobile

Phones and Telemedicine can improve the efficiency of HIV/AIDS information

exchange in resource-limited settings. Clinicians will be introduced to social

media tools to increase their knowledge and skills in accessing and

disseminating live HIV/AIDS information through the internet, mobile devices and

other interactive media. An understanding of online communities and their impact

on HIV clinical management will be provided. Clinicians will be presented

methods of using such social media tools to gain access to target audiences

including PLWHA, their support groups, as well as monitor and gauge responses
