As many of you know, he was one of those who dared to care and provide support to People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in the early years of the epidemic. He was also known for his commitment to his profession, good administration, skills and knowledge as a forensic medicine expert, organiser and above all as a great human being. He was instrumental in forming a network(planet), organising treatment for PLHIV, and initiating impact mitigation in the early years. Dr Umesh used to contribute to this forum and he was part discussions on PITC, second line ART etc May his soul rest in peace.
