Violation of NACP-III in JKSAPCS for the appointment of GIPA Co-ordinator

Dear All,

This is to bring to the notice of everyone on this forum, that under UNGASS,

NACO has kept a post of GIPA Co-ordinator in SACS which means " Greater

involvement of People with AIDS, means exclusively for HIV+.

But under shear violation of this guideline Jammu & Kashmir SACS (J & KSAPCS) has

not advertised the said posat for last 2 years and more imporatntly had

appointed an HIV- female on the said post.

Due to this reason, our state has not been in the fore runner of forming any of

the PLHA network in the state, as only till last year with active involovement

and support of NCLM, our state is able to register first SLN in the state of

J & K.

 

I would like to impress upon through this forum that everyone in whatever

capacity should raise this on every platform so that the said post shall be

given to the HIV+ foir the welfare and betterment of the PLHAs in J & K state.
