Need response, help and support for Trans Gender Day

Dear Friends, colleagues, activiests, leaders, supporters andWell wishers,

 

Wish all of you  belated HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY!

It is good to see that now whole world is celebrating Women's Day.

Women got their place in this man dominant world at last but now the time has

come to celebrate Trans Gender (TG) day also.

We know somewhere all Transgenders feel themselves Women but we are not women

biologically which is true. Many-many Transgender said that they want to

celebrate TG day but still there is no TG day so they are participating in

Women's day but they are not happy internally know National Women Organization

still do not accept TGs as a women.

It is need and important for the visibility and of course for the rights of TGs.

 

NTHB (Network of  TG/Hijra in Bengal) is working with TG/Hijra in West Bengal.

Through this network we have decided that we all will come in one place

forgetting each other’s personal problems.

We are expecting 200 (Two Hundred) communities in this gathering. First we all

will  meet in one place after the gathering will have rally then we will have

signature campaign and speech will be there of course by the some community

leader and Media will be there and then announcement that why TG day we are

celebrating today and we will celebrate every years on 30th April.

It would be a memorable day of all the TG community. It would be first time that

all TGs are gathering in one place for their rights.

After facing many many problem, discrimination, stigma but all coming in one

place together.

 

It would be a one day programme. From morning there will be a exhibition on the

stage. It would be in the road side where public can acces easily.

This exhibition will be realted to Violence, Report, Documentation and photos of

TG/Hijra community throgh fledge process.

There should be a signature campaign also which would be in the favour of

TG/Hijra's rights in the society, public and government sector in West Bengal.

At the same time there will be press conference in the press club and after that

we will have a rally. After ending of the rally some spoke person will be there

they may be some celebrities, Activist, Leaders etc.

 

From this day onwards we will start giving DEPUTATION to all the Government

Offices, Various Police station, Schools, Human right commission, Colleges,

Universities etc where our community face stigma and discrimination.

It would be important day for all the community so, we will celebrate this day

as a TG day in West Bengal.

 

We need financial support from you for this event. Lots of participants will

come in Kolkata from various parts of West Bengal.

We need your help where you already done many things for the TG/Hijra community.

This is the first time we are going to organize such kind of big event so we

need your suggestions, co-operation and experiences.

 

Closing this letter with lots of hope. Positive response are expecting soon

because we have less time and have to do many things which is completely

dependent in you also.
