Sadhane is an

organization of PLHIV People living with HIV) which is working currently in

Bangalore rural and Ramanagara District, Karnataka. Sadhane focuses on

vulnerable and marginalised populations (sex workers, sexuality minorities,

hijras, poor people, women, migrants, rural poor etc) and involves them in

the decision making process at all levels. It helps build democratic

institutions/ networks that will be accountable and transparent with a strong

focus on ethical values. Sadhane builds the capacities of its members/ PLHIV to

be able to advocate for change, social entitlements as well as the greater

Eligibility

Criteria:

 

Should

possess Master’s degree in any discipline (preferably in Social work) from

a recognised university.

Should

have 4-7 years of experience in development work, preferably in programme

management.

Should

be able to read and write Kannada language. Fluency in English and Kannada

language is required.

The

individual must be sensitive towards working with marginalized groups (including

people affected by HIV); hands on experience working on social

mobilization; working with community based projects and experience of

working with varied partners.

 

Key

Skill Areas:

 

Programme

management – Ability to draw action plans for different cadres with

prioritization, review programme implementation, provide input to

programme design with regard to the district situation; supervise and provide

inputs to the different cadres of personnel in the organisation.

Linkages

– Competency to work with i) different departments of government at the

district level ii) civil society partners which include positive networks and

other divisions at the district level.

Reporting

– Capability to do the interpretation of reports and provide feedback for

the programme implementation; share results in a manner which would be

easier for the supervisors and link workers to understand, compile the updates

of programme and share highlights & challenges.

Fund

raising and management – Capability to raise funds for the organisation

and work with allocated funds, provide support to the Monitoring & Evaluation

team and Accounts assistant in the submission of accounts and budget

preparation.
