The cause of the spread of HIV/AIDS in South Africa, is the apartheid policy of

keeping South African blacks in male dorms to work for the apartheid regime,,

while their families languished in Bantulands.

The post apartheid pollicies were even worse than India's NACO, since as in

India, AIDS was considered a western input(white input) and it could not happen

to us blacks. I wish the AIDS virus did discriminate by race, but it is

colorblind, The 'poor virus' has to exist somehow.

There has been a some retreat from the policies of South African leaders, and

misinformation spread by its leaders.

India was a little lethargic in its approach and no aggressive action was taken

as with all Indian research in 1986 when it first surfaced.

I was amazed to see in 2010, they had the first baby by C-section and vertical

transmission was halted with neverapine dose..

The African-American people in USA, who get no help from their pastors in

church, have been able to do away with mother-to child transmission, long ago,

and when I asked one the health department African-American health worker how

many seroconvert she said with a smile, " none! "
