Guest guest Posted November 5, 2009 Report Share Posted November 5, 2009 Dear Forum, Month of October-09. i was visited some ICTC & PPTCT centers of Haryana state.There have i was found basic problems & no implementation of Naco guidelines. Operational Guidelines for ICTC & Testing Centers (see page 8-9) Naco Guidelines.The Recommended daily work chart of a counsellor and outreach worker is given below. 1.8.30am to 10.30am Pre-test information for pregnent women attending the antenental clinic(ANC)and for other provider-referred clients. 2.10.30am to 12.30pm Pre-test counselling for-reffered clients. 3.1pm to 3pm Post-test counselling for ANC,other provider-reffered clients and for self reffered clients. 4.3pm to 5pm Follow-up counselling. On saturdays in the afternoon session,counsellors will undertake outreach work and visits to the homes of HIV positive clients facing severe crisis.TA/DA will be paid to the counsellors for the outreach activities/home visits as per the state government rules. Facts Are; 1.After 9.30am-10am counsellor, LT came to their centers & close 3.00pm-3.30pm.No follow-up and Home Visit the HIV+clients. 2.No outreach worker appoint by Haryana Sacs in a single ICTC/PPTCT. 3.Basic problems in ICTC/PPTCT centers are-NO Benches,Fans,Drinking water/Toilet,Condom Box etc. 4.Counsellor and LT are not wear their Hospital dress,No name plate,No timetable Chart on wall/gate. i also inform to Haryana sacs about the facts via phone & mail but they are not given to me a single reponse.Where are the NACP-3 Guidelines?
