Guest guest
Dear Friends and Supporters, We the members of Suraksha and Sadhane staff and ex-staff members organised a press conference to condemn the KSAPS inquiry report (http://hivaccountability. blogspot.com/p/ksaps-inquiry- report.html) and comments of the Executive director of Suraksha regarding the forced HIV testing issue. The report which KSAPS inquiry team gave speaks more about the Executive Director of Suraksha and the President of Suraksha board. The important points shared by the staff members are completely missing in the report. The KSAPS inquiry team has not given any response in their report. We the staff and ex-staff members organised a press conference in Bangalore press club (http://hivaccountability. blogspot.com/) in the morning. The inquiry team failed to probe few important issues like the Executive Director is keeping the 89 staff members HIV reports. How can a Executive Director keep staff members reports? This is a strong evidence for forced HIV testing. Few of the staff who were forced testing their confidentiality is completely broken because of the negligence of the Executive Director. Suraksha staff policy the issue of breaking confidentiality (about HIV status) is a serious issue and is considered as " Gross Misconduct " (http://hivaccountability. blogspot.com/p/suraksha-staff- policy-cc-meeting.html) We will continue our struggle until we get justice. Thanks for your support In solidarity, Manjesh Community Spokesperson Staff and Ex-staff members Suraksha and Sadhane e-mail: <sadhanekarnataka@...>
