PHMI is a technical assistance and training organization with the main objective being to provide human resource capacity building and systems strengthening within public health infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh (AP). Its technical focus is currently on HIV but envisions a broader role in building public health systems in AP. SHARE India PHMI is funded by U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC)/Global AIDS Program-India invites highly motivated professionals for the following posts: Position No. 01 – Senior Program Manager - Trainings No. of position: 01 (Full time) Incumbent will be a senior level manager for developing training policy, identifying training needs, facilitating and coordinating developing training modules, organizing, coordinating & managing training programs and evaluating trainings in the field of HIV/AIDS & public health. Incumbent will work very closely with host Govt, APSACS. The candidate should have excellent communication and presentation skills and should be aware of various training techniques, methodologies, institutes and training providers. Position also requires excellent analytical, communication, presentation and computer usage skills. Knowledge in Telugu language is preferable, as is the flexibility for extensive travel. Applicants should have the ability to work in teams and for long hours. The Senior Program Manager will be located in PHMI office, under the direct supervision of Associate Project Director, PHMI. Qualifications: - • Masters in Public Health or MD (Community Medicine) • Minimum 5-years experience in management and strategic communication • Should have experience in training, capacity building of individuals in NGO /Corporate sector. • Should be able to develop creative curriculum solutions • Should have the ability to think critically, analyze situations, judge and advise the leadership on complex public health issues in policy level decisions. • Prior HIV and Public Health experience is desirable Position No. 02: Program Officer –Trainings / Short Term Trainings No. of positions: 02 (Full time) • Prepare objectives, timelines & macro-plans relevant to different short term training programs and facilitate the interventions, • Prepare micro-plans for program implementation • Assist the Senior Program Manager in advocacy • Assist Senior Program Manager in collaboration with Public sector, Private sector, Medical Institutions & NGOs to establish networking at State level and use them for establishing linkages. • Suggest innovative approaches to strategies and solutions to program issues. • Assist the Senior Project Manager & the project in establishing network linkages with Medical Institutions and NGOs and develop partnerships / negotiate with external resource persons to tap them as training / technical resources. • Support the team in identifying internal and external training resources for the training programs and coordinate, support and guide the project staff for conducting training • Assist in developing training modules for the project activities • To oversee management of all the activities for the establishment and implementation of short term training programs • To develop reports of the training programs JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Masters in any discipline, preferably Public Health or MD (Community Medicine) • Attention to details and ability to multi-task. • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. • Good computer skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Good communication and writing skills • Good interpersonal and organizational skills • Minimum of 2 years of work experience • Willingness to travel extensively Position No: 03 - Laboratory Coordinator No. of positions: 01 (Full Time) Support Laboratory Quality Assurance Program of ICTC/SRL/NRL and provide ongoing technical assistance for the development of an HIV laboratory strengthening program for Andhra Pradesh. Essential • Medical graduate with two years laboratory experience (or) M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology • Candidates with experience in quality assurance will be preferred • Efficiency in computer skills; MS office packages and internet • Experiencing in organizing training/workshops for professionals/Para professionals • Excellent Communication Skills (English, preferably Hindi or other regional languages of TN, AP and KA ) both written as well as verbal • Willingness to travel extensively, for southern states as well other parts of the country Compensation package will be as per the market standards and previous salary.
