Guest guest Posted February 23, 2010 Report Share Posted February 23, 2010 Vacancy announcement in Afghanistan Position: Project Manager-Targeted Interventions for MSM in Afghanistan, based in Kabul, Afghanistan Duration: 10 months Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO) is an Afghanistan youth initiative that promotes health, and advocate for the right of young people in the country. It aims to contribute to prevention of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) through awareness rising and promotion of health behaviors among young people. YHDO is setting up two clinics, in Kabul city and Mazar I Sharif City. The project is designed to offer STIs treatment services, Outreach services, Peer Education, Condom promotion, Testing Services (HIV, HCV, HBS and Syphilis), HBV Vaccination and Drop In Center (DIC) services for the MSM clients. Duties and responsibilities Ensure the satisfactory achievements of project indicator and standards Review existing Project outputs and indicators, as to ensure that they are appropriate and realistic, and if required suggest changes to line management. Coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, the National AIDS Control Program (NACP) and the other stakeholders. Overall responsibility of the logistics of the project Financial oversight for the project Preparation of the required project reports Ensuring that the project is fully staffed with competent professionals Ensuring the set up of monitoring and evaluation system of the project Ensuring that the resources necessary to implement the project are made available to the project team as scheduled; Qualifications · MA or equivalent degree with 3 years experience in public health in developing countries, · Experience in management of community and communication projects. · Experience in managing HIV prevention project particularly with MSM · Strong leadership skills Please send your CV and application to: yhdoaf@...
