Guest guest
Dear forum, As part of multi level approaches adopted to curb the infection we have long back started addressing truckers. For quite a long time we have been addressing them through " kushi clinics " . It is well understood by all that truckers are very difficult to address. Can some body in the forum help me to clear my following doubts? Do we have the number of active truckers taking ART in the country? From where are they taking ART from, their native ART centre? Or is there any approach which allow them to have ART on the go? (Current ART guidelines wont permit this, I suppose) Certain documentation says that truckers leave their job once they start ART. Has any organisation documented the above topics? Thanks in advance Regards Ajai Ajai Kerala SACS e-mail: <ajai.ksacs@...>
Guest guest
Dear Ajai Re: /message/12276 Actually, there is no ART policy in the country keeping truckers in mind. With difficulty in tracking the truckers for ART compliance i doubt of authentic data availabilty with any organization working with truckers. In my opinion truckers should be given universal access to ART any where any time which is challenge with the current guidelines were ART centres are asking for residence proof for initiating ART. Consequences of which leads to difficulty in following up the client on ART. NGOs working with truckers are putting there efforts in strengthing linkages with nearest ICTCs and ART centres in tracking the positive clients on ART.
