In Writ Petition© No.535 of 1998 of Sahara House vs Union of India & Ors, the

Dear all,

Re: /message/12040

Great News for me especially as I working very hard to convince people inside

NACO for start accepting the data from private providers also.

As a PPTCT & Ped ART Consultant earlier with one of the SACS, I was arguing with

NACO for accepting the data from private sector though they are not directly

funded by NACO.

I have even made some of the private practitioners and institutes report to

NACO. However NACO was not willing to accept the data. With persisitent efforts

I could make 250 odd private institutions report to us and we start analyzing

that data also.

With this regulation from supreme court, I feel, NACO now has a binding to

accept the data from all sectors in the country.

NACO has lot of work to do now. Hope NACO will be able to cope up with the data

provided to them, start looking into it, analysing it and provide some feedback

(if at all possible).

best wishes to all,

Dear All,

Re: /message/12040

A welcome move !

I strongly believe that the collection and compilation of the reports from

private practitioners should be delegated to the concerned states/UT/Municipal

Corporation AIDS Control Socieities for the best possible coordination in an

arrangement which would be convenient to all.

The Monitoring and Evaluation division of the SACS may ensure that in

prescribed/CMIS/SIMS formats.

We have tried to disseminate the vital information to the concerned people and

organizations in the state.

Best wishes,

R.Gopal.

Dear Readers,

Re: /message/12040

What impressed and surprised me about the format was the patient anonymity.

I wonder about the carrot or the stick if it doesn't get done.
