Applications are currently open for the HIV Research Trust Scholarships, with a

deadline of 24 October 2010.

These scholarships are given to researchers working in the field of HIV

infection in countries where resources are scarce. They are designed for the

research worker to travel to another research unit to learn techniques that will

be of value when he or she returns.

All aspects of research are eligible, including clinical care, epidemiology,

psychological and societal aspects, basic and applied biology. The usual period

of support is 2-6 months but exceptionally support for one year may be given.

The maximum sum awarded is 10,000.

The top-scoring grantee will also receive a scholarship to attend the 6th IAS

Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention (IAS 2011) in Rome,

Italy.
