Guest guest
Dear Forum, /message/12613 This is really a great drawback in the activities of TANSACS. If this is a situation for a well known community leader then what will be the situation for a ordinary PLHA?. will sacs take necessary steps on it? being a social worker i strongly support Madam noorie for this cause. I recently heard that second line will be provided in all district hospitals, but still now there is no progress in this regard. I would like to request SACS that this is a question of human life which is valuable. My dear forum members i need your valuable suggestions regarding this issue. Guest guest
Dear Friends and well wishers of the PLHIV community and government staff working towards the welfare and treatment care and support of PLHIV! After hearing the cry of a senior citizen PLHIV community leader don't we have a heart to help her to access the second line ART medicine. It is still a question that why SACS is not responding towards this matter Why Dr. Thennarasu is so stubborn towards Noorie Ji can Dr. Rewari take some initiative in this regard. Secondly i don't think that Noori is mentioning about Accessing Second line ART in Tamil Nadu is difficult as mentioned by Dr. Balraj Singh. But she wants her 2nd Line ART in KMCH more over it she says there are 5 ART centers in Chennai and why not give in those centers rather then giving it in Thambaram TB sanatorium which will give back infection to the PLHIVs There should be universal access to all treatment and medicines in the state as well as cin the ountry. I am really feel sorry for what is happening now in the country Bihar running out of stock Tamil Nadu transferring patients to Distance places still it is a question for all of us why is this happening like this when we are at the welfare of patients and well wishers of the cause why cant we do it promptly and help the PLHIVs I still keep this question open to Dr. Rewari can NACO and SACS do some thing in this regard.. Guest guest
Dear forum, Re: /message/12613 The mail is very clear that there was no any denial of ART second line to noori its only the capacitated centre and the facilitated centre to issue it with all experts in place and this program is running for the past two years with no such complaints being posted. If she had been there and working for the community it should be posted once when the program is started and i feel its one selfish post rather than a community based complaint and i request again all the forum members to respond to the situation rather than such mails. We have so many patients not only in HIV but also in other disease spectrum needing second line ATT , surgeries on malignancies and radiotherapy and chemotherapy on various malignancies who are still referred to higher centre distant apart for expert management. There are thousands of patients referred to our general hospital chennai and our health system is doing the best in this health system and we are ranking the top in the state. Denial and irresponsibility is in the part of noori by not taking the drugs and she is doing the worst for her community. Kindly counsel her on this aspect and do the best to our community. I am sure all our experts in GHTM and other art centre and TANSACS are kind enough to guide you in the right path. Noori kindly cooperate to make it a better place to live in. And i give the hope that soon we will be getting second line drugs at all the centers and be a responsible citizen madam. R.RAVIKUMAR MEDICAL OFFICER ART CENTRE, GOVT.
