ActionAid India Society with the support of Orissa State AIDS Control Society

(OSACS) is implementing the Link Worker Scheme (LWS) Project to build a rural

community outreach model to address the complex needs of rural HIV prevention,

care and support requirements in 6 highly vulnerable districts (Angul, Balasore,

Bhadrak, Balangir, Ganjam and Khurda) of Orissa.

Contract Period- Initial 10 Months of contracts.

Job Location: Balangir

Position: MONITORING & EVALUATION cum ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

The M & E cum Accounts Assistant will be based at the district level and he/she

will be responsible for steering the district level activities (programme

monitoring and finance management) in coordination with the District Resource

Persons.

Eligibility Criteria:

Should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/ Financial Accounting from a

recognised university, with proficiency in computers.

Should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in handling accounts, MIS data

entry and ease in working with NGOs. And must have proficiency over local

language and dialects.

Responsibilities of M & E cum Accounts Assistant

1. Ensure orientation of Supervisors and DRPs on the indicators, consolidation

of village mapping data, timely collection of reports, data entry, preparation

of analytical reports for action and sharing with M & E Officer at Lead NGO

Level as well as to Lead NGO/ SACS/NACO/DAPCU.

2. Ensure proper financial documentation (keeping books of accounts, regular

bank reconciliation, submission of audit reports, utilization certificates)

administrative budget utilisation as per requirement of the programme,

orientation of staff on the requirement of procurement, fund tracking, financial

documentation and ensure procurement process as per the scheme.

Expected Honorarium for the M & E cum AA: Rs. 10,000/- per month.

HIV positive people, especially positive women with the required qualifications

and experience would be given preference for the above position.
