I know this sounds like a weird question but bear with me....

I have PA and I try and stay as physically active as I can. I go biking and

skiing because they are relatively low impact. I had to stop biking because I

couldn't handle the potholes, but I found if I am very careful about steering

the ride was smooth enough I could do it. Then I got blown over by the wind. NYC

had 50 - 60 mph gusts and I was picked and and slammed down. The bike blew out

from under me and I fell approx 1 meter, four feet and got a big bruise on my

hip and elbow.

The Enbrel which had controlled symptoms pretty well, wasn't enough to

compensate and I got all red and flaky and arthriticly achey even with shots for

the next few weeks.

It felt as if the body made more t-cells to cope with the inflammation than the

quantity of Enbrel I had injected. As the bruise went away and my hip was less

painful the flakiness went away, meaning I was recovering.

Does this sound right? Before Enbrel I was completely unable to do anything, and

I miss being the athlete I was in college so much. Anyone got any other ideas or

perspectives? I hope the disease stays at this level and I wonder if activity

could push it back to the levels of 15 years ago when I was in college.

Sincerely,

PS I hope the new email doesn't confuse anyone on here, but I have been with the

group a while. I just don't want to use my regular email on here.
