Guest guest
The first thing I would ask whether it be to her or someone in her office is " Who do I complain to about this doctor? I drove 300 km last time to see her and was 10 minutes late and she refused to see me! " There is somethign wrong with that picture! We have a state medical board here in America that you can complain to and also the American Medical Association. I would pitch the biggest fit that doctor would be taking notice. That is disgraceful that someone suffering as we do with this God-Awful disease should have to put up with treatment like that! I am so fortunate to have a caring, wonderful rheumy who takes all the time I need when I see her and answers every question I ask. If I were you I'd turn this sorry excuse for a doctor in to whomever I could find to turn her in to and then I would go to a general practitioner that has at least a merciful bedside manner and the willingness to research this disease and do what they can for you. I am sorry to sound so P****d off...but I am. You should not have to put up with that from ANY doctor. Sometimes they are too full of themselves....or could be she got into the wrong profession. In my opinion my time is just as important as their time. Some of them overbook and then we have to sit and sit waiting for them to see us and then refuse to see us if we are late? Oh, I think not. Hope I hope I haven't broken any cardinal rules here speaking against " the gods (doctors) " . Mine is wonderful. Keep looking til you find one whether there is another rheumy there or whether you have to put all your cards on the table with a general practitioner and ask them if they have the heart to study up on your disease and help you. OK, off my soap box and back to reading posts. Sharon
