If so, have you tried cortisone injections in the SI joint and did they work?>> Yes, I had my second SI injection yesterday and I am pain free today. " The first one was in the beginning of December so I had a run of about 4 months pain free then it started creeping back. I go to a pain management clinic. I had a total hip replacement a year and a half ago due to the PsA, The SI joint problem is on the same side. These are steroid injections and most doctors won't do more than 3 injections a year, for good reason. But the epidural injections didn't touch the pain from the SI joint. There doesn't seem to be any good treatment for the SI joint at this time that I can find. Best of luck. The injection is less than 10 minutes. It takes a few hours to a day to get relief.
