There are no benefits attached to these positions Last date of application: March 7, 2011 Job Description: The Population council is seeking experienced research investigators for a large multi year project- Averting HIV infection among Injecting Drug users (AVHI), based at Delhi. The incumbent will be hired on a temporary basis to carry out surveys. The surveys will be carried out at different time periods during the research project. Initially incumbent will be hired for 4- 5 months followed by a gap of 4-5 months. The next hiring period is for 3-4 months followed by a gap of about 12 months. The third hiring period will be for 3-4 months. Responsibilities: 1. Conduct Survey of IDU clients at the drop in centers of AVHI project 2. Take informed consent for all participants in the survey and completion of questionnaire 3. Work closely with other team members of the AVHI project 4. Report the survey status on daily basis to the supervisor Qualification: 1. Graduate or higher in social science, social work or related field. 2. Good communication and understanding of Hindi and English. 3. Experience in data collection and/or surveys conducted in public health or related fields. 4. Experience in conducting surveys in the field of HIV/AIDS an added advantage.
