" Speaker: Dr S.K.Guha, Professor of the Department of Tropical Medicine, School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata Dr S.K.Guha., MBBS (Cal), DTM & H (Cal), MD in Tropical Medicine (Cal), is a Professor of the Department of Tropical Medicine, a Nodal Officer, CoE in HIV and a Course Organizer, Fellowship in HIV Medicine course at the School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata. He has Undergone several trainings including the short Course in ART (SCART) from Prince Leopold Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, and the WHO Advanced training of 2nd line Anti Retroviral Therapy in Bangkok, Thailand - 2008. Infrastructure required to participate: This will be a live webcast and very easy to access if you have internet broadband connectivity. If there are more than 4 - 6 persons as participants in a room, an LCD projector will be helpful. For sound clarity, you must use external speakers or headphones. After checking speakers and connectivity, follow these steps about 30 minutes before the program starts: Steps to login: Step 1. Type in http://arogyaan.na5.acrobat.com/dlcs/. in the navigation bar and the adobe connect site will open showing the page in which there will be a space " Enter as Guest " . Step 2. Select 'Enter as Guest'. If you are a in an institution site, log-in with your site name and location. i.e. If you are from MAMC Delhi ...type in MAMC Delhi and then press enter. You can also login individually using your name e.g. Ram Bangalore. Step 3. The site will open; you will see the screen, the first slide of the ppt presentation. You will also see a chat box, where you can type in your comments, questions or answers when the presenter seeks an answer. About the series The I-TECH India/AROGYAAN HIV/AIDS distance Clinical seminar Series is aimed at health care workers treating HIV/AIDS in ART centers, Link Art centers, Community care centers and other private physicians treating HIV /AIDS in the area of coverage of the COE's. National HIV/AIDS experts present on a variety of advanced care, comprehensive management, and treatment topics via synchronous live sessions across several states and districts around the country using Adobe Connect software. Sessions are open to all ART centers. LAC's, CCC's and other private physicians treating HIV patients in the network group with the goal of creating dialogue amongst clinicians in regard to management of moderately complex cases. Sessions are conducted in English. These 60 minute sessions use a case based format during the live session and allows participants to engage in follow-up communication across sites.
