I was told not to take ibuprofen but only Tylenol due to MTX being so hard on

stomachs already. I am curious what you have been told. Patty

Hi Patty:

I was told the opposite,and in fact I am on prescription strength 600 mg

Ibuprofen 4 X daily as needed. My doctor has told me that Tylenol is very toxic

to the liver and of course as we know so is MTX, on top of that I am on another

drug for another unrelated condition which is also liver toxic! So far all my

blood work has been fine, thank goodness. My Rheumy put me on Omeprazole to

protect the stomach and it works great.

I've been told the same thing. Not to take Ibuprofen with MTX.
