Is anyone on Imuran and has it helped?

Hello,

I've just been given Imuran since I had so many infections with Simponi and

don't want to take it anymore. My rheumy said it was worth a try but also felt

it had only a 20-30% chance of working for me. He really wants me to stay on the

Simponi but within a month of starting it I had the first of many yeast and

bacterial vaginal infections and then a severe sinus infection and ear

infections so bad it actually ruptured my ear drums. I'm just now (almost 2

months later) getting all my hearing back and feeling better. He doesn't believe

the infections are related to the drug and feels my primary and gyn docs

comments that the drug is too strong for me are incorrect. Has anyone had any

experience with either drug and what was the result? I've tried all the other

available meds with no luck and this is it...he says last resort is to put me on

steroids until new meds come along, I'd rather not have anymore prednisone

weight gain thank you very much, lol.
