Guest guest
I read somewhere on the internet that you do have to be careful about how much folic acid you take as it can mask symptoms of B 12 deficiency. You can google- folic acid B 12 deficiency- to find articles about it. I am only on 800mcg and my rheumy told me to NOT take more than 1 mg per day. I really wish there were consistent guidelines on this. I am going to ask to get my folic acid level checked the next time I have labs done. Also, has anyone noticed their psoriasis getting worse with more folic acid? Thanks, Patty
Guest guest
Hi Patty, I take folic acid and thiamine every day as well as a vitamin b shot once a month, I have had a rash on my face and recently a rash on my chest has appeared. I don't know if it from the vitamins, steroids or the Humira. The steroids are the most recent medication, the rash on my chest started about the same time I started using the steroids, I stopped the steroids but I still have the rash on my face and chest. I think getting labs done is a good idea and talk to your doctor about the side effects of any vitamins and medications you are taking Lori in AZ
