I-TECH India Project - AroGyaan has the pleasure of inviting you for the

National (AroGyaan) Distance learning clinical seminar Series,

Date: December 15th 2010 (Wednesday)

Time: 2 - 3 pm

TOPIC: HIV TB co-infection with special focus on Timing of initiation of ART

in this co-infection

Speaker:

Dr.G.Narendran, DTRD. DNB (Chest) is a 'B' grade Scientist fromTuberculosis

Research center, Chennai, since 2005.He has vast experience in clinical

management of Chest diseases and HIV patients. He has many national and

international publications to his credit He has presented in several reputed

conferences and is Investigator for several important clinical trials. He has

several awards and honors to his credit.

Infrastructure required to participate:

This will be a live webcast and very easy to access if you have internet

connectivity - minimum 2 mbps bandwidth. If there are more than 4 - 6 persons as

participants in a room, an LCD projector will be helpful. For sound clarity, you

must use external speakers or headphones. After checking speakers and

connectivity, follow these steps about 30 minutes before the program starts:

Steps to login:

Step 1. Type in http://arogyaan.na5.acrobat.com/dlcs/. in the navigation bar and

the adobe connect site will open showing the page in which there will be a space

" Enter as Guest " .

Step 2. Select 'Enter as Guest'. If you are a in an institution site, log-in

with your site name and location. i.e. If you are from MAMC Delhi ...type in

MAMC Delhi and then press enter. You can also login individually using your name

e.g. Ram Bangalore.

Step 3. The site will open; you will see the scre

en, the first slide of the ppt presentation. You will also see a chat box, where

you can type in your comments, questions or answers when the presenter seeks an

answer.

About the Series.

I-TECH India /AROGYAAN initiated HIV /AIDS Distance Learning Seminar Series

(DLSS) is an interactive training sessions conducted over the internet to

HIV/AIDS clinicians with limited opportunities for continuing education. The

I-TECH India currently under AroGyaan Society, HIV/AIDS Distance Clinical

Seminar Series (CSS) provides interactive, case-based instructional sessions on

the clinical management of HIV/AIDS.

Using a software called Adobe Connect Pro Live (CPL), 60-minute sessions are web

cast to participants in all districts in India.

There is no cost for participation. Presenters for the series are national

experts and who have vast experience in the HIV/AIDS field.

Experts present on a variety of advance care, comprehensive management and

treatment topics via live sessions. These 60-minute sessions used a case-based,

presentation format in which participants are encouraged to provide inputs, ask

questions, and share experiences via a chat function.
