Guest guest
At are the normal ranges for the CRP? Here in the US it is 0-5. So anything that high is more than extreme. ph's usually run anywhere from 25-85 which is very high. but not like the level you are giving. Does your lab data sheet give the normal readings?? When CRP rises it indicates that there is an acute inflammation occurring. It is simply an indicator not a diagnostic tool. It rises with many disorders so you need more of a clinical picture to determine what is going on.. Where are you again? Guest guest
Hi , Both of my boys have periodic fevers, but they are not diagnosed as having . They have tested negative for all known genetic disorders at this point but the symptoms are much more similar to HIDS. (my 3.5 yr old) was diagnosed around a year old with from a local specialist. NIH does not feel this is the case and considers both boys as either undiagnosed periodic fever syndrome or clinical HIDS. Both boys began fevering between 4 months old and 8 months old. When (my 2.5 yr old) began fevering we were also very cautious to label him right away. was already in the study at NIH though so we did have them to consult with. Since his fevers followed a very similar pattern to and the blood work came back with very similar it was determined that what ever it was - they both had it. The CRP level you mentioned does seem very high - both of my boys typicall have CRPs in the 20-40 range and SED rates of 120-130's. Guest guest
Hi I had a 6.8 crp which is c reactive protein it means inflammation somewhere in the body just doesn't state where. Normal from what my rheumy said is .6 so 6.8 was very high. That's what he used to diagnose me with psoriatic arthritis among the obvious x-rays and everything else. I am on methotrexate as well. But it sure hasn't helped with female problems in fact I'm way off. Hope this helps Jolene

Guest guest
Hi, My crp has never been normal...It is always high... The information I have read is that it should be 3.0 or below..but in autoimmune diseases can be extremely high at 10.0 or above..You can research it on the web to find out more..I am not sure what can be done to bring it down when you have psa...because I am on Enbrel and mine is still high..If anyone has any suggestions I welcome them..
