Guest guest
Hi Sherry, Glad you have found some relief. TAC is triamcinolone cream. Arg, I would know this, I'm a medical transcriptionist..lol. I should be putting it on my feet too. My P is starting to spready it's lovely way to my hands and feet. Has anyone ever had their P start out as peeling skin on the hands? Jayson [ ] It's officially PA - yuck! Lucky me. Or maybe I should say yucky me. I saw the rheumatologist today for the first time and it's official. " Classic presentation, " she says. So I'm also officially a classic. <g> The funniest moment was when the rheumy asked, " Why did you wait so long to come see me? " Uh, the dermatologist made this appointment for me 9 days ago from her office. I would have come right that minute if you'd let me. Oh, and that was after I'd waited 2 weeks in pain to get in to see the derm. (What are these doctors smokin'???) The second funniest moment was when the rheumy got close up and personal with my feet and the first thing she said was " Ouch, that hurts! " and I said, " No, actually that feels great. What you are seeing is like 2000% improvement. " The good news is that a couple of weeks of Naproxen has done the trick for the inflammation and joint pain and some goop the derm gave me is showing great improvement for my feet and hands, so I am feeling great! Life is so GOOD when you can walk without crying. Question I should have asked the rheumy - should I start to take the Naproxen as soon as my skins starts to flare? Will that help avoid the joint and connective tissue inflammation from getting as bad as it did this time? I have to see her again in 2 weeks, so I'll ask her then, but meantime what have you all found to work? And does anyone know what TAC stands for? That is what they wrote on the container of goop the derm gave me. Thanks for the wonderful support! Sherry
Guest guest
Jayson, thanks for the info on TAC. My P started with peeling skin on my fingers, spread to soles of feet, and now to one elbow - the elbow developed tendonitis at the same time. > > Hi Sherry, > > Glad you have found some relief.
