Guest guest
Homage to Dr. Radium D Bhattacharya I always remember of her saying; strengthening the grassroots NGO in country like India is the only answer to combat the spread of HIV. In her entire life as an activist Dr. Radium never deviated from her mission; built the capacity of hundreds of grassroots NGOs. Now hundreds of NGOs and thousands of individuals are effectively working on prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in our country – a great share is the contribution of Dr. Radium. Started working on HIV/AIDS much before the NACO intervention and leading a Civil Society Network (Indian Network of NGOs on HIV/AIDS – INN) for long 14 years is her great contribution to the development of nation. Through nine National Conventions of INN and hundreds of Capacity building programme of GAP she reached every corner of the country. It is difficult to believe even after one year that she is not with us. Always there is a feeling that she is somewhere around and guiding us. Her each and every word became guiding principle for us go ahead with our work. I today on the occasion of her first death anniversary pay my heartfelt homage to the departed soul of Dr. Radium D Bhattacharya along with all the members of INN, her followers, admirers and family members of GAP.
