My son has an appointment with the rheumy next month. I will be inquiring about

any correlations between strep and PA.

I always had sore throats as a kid, up until I went to college and could control

my own thermostat. I recently visited my mother and found I had sore throats

again. The nutcake wouldn't turn the heat up enough and I was sick from cold

just like when I was  a kid. I used to get allergy shots and shit and it was

because she didn't want the house warm enough.

They are working on figuring out the relationship between our disease and

various bacteria. Strep is a definite player for many of us. I have controlled

my home heat since I got PsA so I keep my house nice and cosy warm - it is good

for us. Something I've found that also adds comfort is the humidifier attached

to the furnace. Moist heat can be even better. A dry throat often is a sore

one. As a mother, probably old enough to be yours, I hope your nutcake

reference had some fondness attached.
