Guest guest
Dear Forum members, Re: /message/12195 Just seen the news about Latur. It seems Mr. Bapatlay is creating controversy out of nothing. Incidentally the dead body was of an HIV patient. The dog had not eaten the leg of the child because the child was HIV +ve. What has happened to this dead body could have happened to any dead body kept at that place at that time. The issue here is poor condition and infrastructure of Primary Health Care Centre in particular and entire govt.-run heath services in general. Nothing will be achieved by suspending the poor medical officer in a knee-jerk reaction. Guest guest
Dear members, Re: /message/12195 I completely agree with Dr. Gilada. The unfortunate thing could have happened to any dead body kept at that place. Are we really achieving the purpose by suspending the Medical Officer or what it is it like? We have to assess ourselves in terms of our accessibility, affordability & availability of the inputs. Guest guest
Dear AIDS INDIA members, Re: /message/12202 '...The unfortunate thing could have happened to any dead body kept at that place...' True. However, the Medical Officer is also responsible to ensure that it does not happen. Disciplinary action for negligence of duty is the issue here.
